Jamaica in June ! The 26th 2010. I set out with high hopes of capturing beautiful skies and spectacular sunsets.
What we got was an adventure of humidity , rain and mosquito bites . Well, you can't call yourself a professional unless you can handle what is NOT predictable.

The wedding of Teddy and Hawanie:

They were born in Ethiopia, Africa but met here in the states, decided to celebrate their wedding in Jamaica. Joined with their fun and very traditional families we began our adventure of capturing their memories.

We endured the weather that Jamaica had to offer, but revived our spirits by the very unfamiliar culture we had the pleasure of experiencing. The spiritual dancing was a sight to see very different than that of the United States or Los Angeles to be exact.
High energy throughout the day and night. One could not miss the love and closeness of the families.

I chose to share the wedding day and ceremony pictures. Many thanks to Studio 1921, owner Anthony Montes de Oca, for allowing me to experience this wedding with him and working as a valuable team.

I had a memorable time and an experience for the books for sure !
